AGM Notice - 27th October 2011
By now all financial club members should have received the notification of the upcoming AGM to be held on Sunday 8th January 2012. This is your chance to provide feedback on the clubs performance to date and to make suggestions for the upcoming year. If you want to really make a contribution then give consideration to nominating for a committee position. The current Treasurer and Secretary have indicated they will be standing aside for 2012 and as such the club will be needing people for these roles.
If you wish to attend the AGM then please contact Justin Eastwell or Jon Lindley to RSVP.
Toowoomba Criterium Circuit - 12th October 2011
The new Criterium Circuit is almost nearing completeion so there are two big events planned. The first to be held on the 27th November will be the Official Opening of the facility by the Hon. Phil Reeves MP and Toowoomba Mayor Peter Taylor. There will be demonstration events from the Toowoomba Tri Club, the Toowoomba Road Runners as well as a demonstration criterium for the juniors, masters and elite riders. Then after the official opening by the Sports Minister and Mayor, there will be an opportunity for a mass ride on the track for everyone. We will keep you posted as we get closer to the day to let you know how you can be involved in one of Toowoomba sports most exciting opportunities.
The second event is the Be Better Psycholgy Toowoomba Criterium. This will be the first open event at the circuit and will surely be a great introduction to the course for riders from throughout South East Queensland. Entry is open to all Cycling Australia members with entry only via the CQ website.

This Saturday (29/1/11) kicks off the first of the a four race Criterium Series to determine Toowoomba's Criterium Champions. All grades will be catered for with grading predetermined for many of you (so no dogging it in a lower grade.) This grading will carry for all four races.
Registration starts at 2.45pm with Juniors rolling out by 3.15pm and D grade following shortly thereafter.
Riders need to ensure that they bring their 2011 CA Licenses with them. If you are a 2010 license holder renew with CA now!!! There will be limited Day and Three Day licenses available for non-licensed riders.
Also this Sunday is the second of our TRACK DAYS. Registration from 2pm to 2.30pm, no exceptions. Please be on time so we can work out gradings and handicaps and have racing started by 2.45pm.
Local Races for 2011 - 13th January 2011
Bikeline Racing, Toowoomba Cycling Club and Highfields Rollers had a meeting just before Christmas to devise a race calendar for 2011.The calendar does provide a good mix of races to provide some good race training leading upto the open races that we will all be training for. You'll find that we have tried to have racing scheduled for every two weeks. This is a good compromise between keeping our other halves happy but also not placing too much time on our commisssiares and officials. Remember we cannot race without the officials and volunteeers.
We originially had a Criterium scheduled for Saturday 15th but at this stage we have had to postpone it to the 22nd due to the road conditions at the Industrial Estate circuit. Toowoomba Regional Council are reluctant to grant a permit at this stage for obvious reasons. We will keep you informed.
There is also a Track Event planned for Sunday 16th. The velodrome is being inspected this afternoon so stay tuned about this also.
Head to the Calendar for details on all the races that we have planned and keep checking the website for any updates.
Safe pedalling...

Nominations were called for all positions and as such the new committee is:
